At Sage Oil Vac, Inc. our Welders play a vital role in the fabrication of high-quality fluid handling equipment by using welding techniques to join metal components, ensuring the reliability and durability of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding tasks, including MIG and other applicable welding processes, to join various metal components, following technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Participate in the fabrication and assembly of components used in Sage Oil Vac equipment, such as tanks, frames, brackets, and other metal structures.
  • Maintain the highest standards of welding quality, inspecting completed work for accuracy and structural integrity to meet company and industry standards.
  • Safely handle and store welding materials, gases, and equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Ensure welding equipment is properly maintained and promptly report any equipment issues or repair needs.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the fabrication and manufacturing team to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues related to welding or component assembly and find practical solutions.
  • Maintain records of welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and any modification made to the standard procedures.
  • Responsible for keeping the welding area clean and in order.
  • Assist other team members if necessary.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a welder, with expertise in MIG welding techniques.
  • Strong welding skills and the ability to produce high-quality welds with a focus on precision and accuracy.
