Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Welder Helper in Andrews, TX to support welding and fabrication teams. You will gather materials, prepare work areas, and assist welders and fitters to ensure safe and efficient operations on-site.

duties include preparing components, maintaining tools, and assisting with layout and quality control while following safety procedures and PPE standards. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for hands-on training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders, fitters, and fabrication personnel with daily work activities.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and positioning components.
• Assist with fit-up and alignment of materials prior to welding.
• Operate grinders, drills, saws, and other hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize materials, tools, and welding equipment.
• Clean and prepare work areas before, during, and after welding operations.
• Remove slag, burrs, and excess weld material using appropriate equipment.
• Assist with measuring, marking, and laying out materials according to specifications.
• Monitor and maintain welding consumables, supplies, and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures, including hot work requirements and PPE standards.
• Support weld inspections and quality control activities as directed.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and perform routine housekeeping duties.
• Communicate unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
