You will learn tape measure reading, basic fabrication math, and shop procedures under supervision in a fast-paced environment. This full-time position offers day shift work and on-site training in a metal fabrication shop.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as welder helper preferred but not required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders with fabrication, repair, and modification of metal structures, components, and equipment.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, bevel, deburr, and prepare metal pieces for fit-up and welding.
• Clean workpieces and remove slag, rust, grease, paint, and other contaminants.
• Hold, align, clamp, and secure components during welds and assembly.
