Job summary

PCM [Pipeline Construction & Maintenance, Inc.] is seeking a Welder Helper to support welding and thermal cutting activities on site in Texas. The role involves moving materials, preparing pieces, and maintaining a safe work environment under the supervision of a Welder.

The position requires assisting with common welding tasks, handling heavy items, and following departmental safety regulations while contributing to production and quality control. Training will be provided on site.

Qualifications

• Assists welding and thermal cutting tasks as needed.
• Capable of lifting and moving heavy workpieces and materials.
• Willing to follow PCM health, safety and environmental rules.

Responsibilities

• Moves workpieces, tools, and supplies manually or with a hand-truck.
• Lifts, positions, clamps, or secures workpieces for welding or cutting.
• Cleans workpieces to remove slag, rust, and grease using tools.
• Connects hoses and cables as part of welding operations.
• Operates engines and preheats materials as required.
• Inspects and returns finished work and assists crane hoisting as needed.
