Job summary

MODLOGIQ, Inc. is seeking a Welding Foreman to lead on-site fabrication and off-site modular construction projects in Lancaster County. You will own the MOC, ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to specification.

The role requires 5+ years in steel fabrication with supervisory experience, AWS D1.1 certification, and a US citizenship. Strong math, blueprint reading, and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in steel fabrication with previous supervisory experience.
• Current AWS D1.1 Certification is required.
• High School diploma required with strong math/geometry skills; Technical school/college preferred.
• Advanced ability to interpret complex structural prints, AWS symbols, and technical manuals.
• Proficient in construction math, including geometry, for heights, clearances, tolerances.
• Proficiency with construction calculators, calipers, squares, and various welding rigs.
• Travel to various sites to re-erect buildings, including overnight stays.
• Must be a US Citizen with a valid Driver’s License and a clean professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise structural steel fabrication and on-site re-erection to ensure quality.
• Exhibit elite welding skills and set crew standards.
• Layout, align, and secure parts; operate welding equipment; handle materials using large cranes.
• Participate in MOC development and attend daily/weekly schedule and safety meetings.
• Submit Construction Daily reports every evening.
• Act as the primary quality control by checking welds against blueprints and specs.
• Stop unsafe work immediately; conduct Tool Box Talks and training; maintain jobsite cleanliness.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and mentor welders toward certifications.
• Ensure the crew has tools and materials to work efficiently without repetitive mistakes.
