Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (Newport News Shipbuilding) is seeking a Welding Engineer to develop, analyze, and optimize welding techniques for waterfront fabrication and assembly.

You will prepare technical documentation to implement welding processes and modify methods to support welding theories. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering from ABET accreditation, 5 years of exempt experience (or advanced degrees with relevant experience).

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.
• Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Responsabilidades

• Develops, analyzes, researches, and designs welding techniques, procedures, and applications.
• Uses engineering principles to manipulate materials for fabrication and assembly processes.
• Prepares technical documentation in order to implement waterfront welding processes including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions.
• Creates new or modifies current welding methods, techniques, and procedures in order to substantiate welding theories.
