Magna International, Inc. is seeking a skilled welding specialist to provide technical welding expertise in the welding lab, support new customer programs, and help drive quality and productivity in automotive welding applications.

You will develop and implement training and certification for production staff, supervise robot programming for GMAW and TIG processes, and collaborate with engineering, QA, and production to continuously improve weld processes and documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Experience using welding lab equipment and documentation.
• Ability to develop training and certification programs.
• Experience supporting new customer programs.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Aufgaben

• Provide welding expertise to the welding lab and maintain compliance.
• Evaluate weld assembly processing, tooling, and equipment.
• Support QA and engineering with welding expertise on programs.
• Develop and implement welding training and certification for production staff.
• Create work instructions for fit-up, tack, weld, and repair requirements.
• Define welding parameters for quality and reliability.
• Lead training for maintenance on robotic GMAW welding equipment.
• Participate in APQP processes for welding cells and tooling.
• Suggest design changes to improve quality and productivity.
• Maintain welding drawings and support continuous improvement.
