Job summary

MODULE X SOLUTIONS is seeking a Weld Engineer to lead welding process development, qualification, and continuous improvement across modular structures and fabricated assemblies. You will ensure compliance with AWS/ASME standards and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to optimize weldments and reduce defects.

The role requires 5+ years in welding engineering, CWI/CWEng preferred, and a willingness to relocate to Shreveport, LA for an in-office, Mon-Fri position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in welding engineering or related manufacturing role.
• Experience developing WPS and PQR documentation.
• Experience with welding in structural steel and industrial fabrication.
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement experience.
• Knowledge of AWS/ASME welding standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and maintain WPS and PQR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and customer welding standards.
• Provide technical guidance for welding operations and fabrication.
• Investigate welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Support NPI by evaluating weld designs and materials.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to optimize weldments.
