Job summary

Miller Electric (Precision Welding Solutions) is seeking a Welding Engineer to join our collaborative team focused on developing cutting-edge welding solutions for General Manufacturing, Fabrication, MRO, and personal end users. You will contribute to new product development and sustaining initiatives, leveraging tools and design of experiments to optimize arc performance.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on welding process knowledge (GTAW, SMAW; GMAW and laser a plus), strong communication, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering or related engineering field is required.
Minimum 1+ years welding engineering experience preferred, including manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of GTAW and SMAW; knowledge of GMAW, GMAW-P and laser preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

Evaluate welding arc performance for commercial welding power supplies.
Optimize welding arcs for Laser, GMAW, GMAW-P, GTAW, and SMAW processes.
Develop welding-related solutions for customer challenges and issues.
Collaborate with production, engineering, customer service, marketing and leadership.
