Miller Electric Mfg. LLC is seeking a Welding Engineer to join a collaborative team developing cutting-edge welding solutions for General Manufacturing, Fabrication, and more.

The role focuses on new product development and sustaining initiatives, utilizing oscilloscopes and PC-based software to optimize arc performance. The position requires knowledge of GMAW, GMAW-P, GTAW, SMAW, and welding automation, with opportunities to lead small projects, train customers, and grow within ITW Welding’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Welding Engineering (BSWE) or BS Welding Engineering Technology (BSWET) degree required.
• 0-3 years of welding engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of GMAW, GMAW-P, GTAW, SMAW and welding automation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate welding arc performance for industrial automation welding power supplies.
• Develop and optimize welding automation solutions.
• Lead automation welding process development and run customer samples.
• Train customers on new automation equipment in-house and in the field.
• Provide daily telephone support of applications, processes, and automation systems.
• Manage small-scale projects and coach junior engineers.
