Qualifications

• Degree in Welding Engineering or closely related field, preferably a 4-year Weld Engineering Technology degree or an Associates in Metallurgy, Metrology, or Robotics/Robotic Welding.
• Hands‑on experience with GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)/MIG welding in robotic and manual applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and improve welding processes, including equipment reliability, weld parameters, and corrective actions.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Welding Engineer to join our team. This position involves a mix of hands‑on plant‑floor engineering tasks and broader project responsibilities. The role requires expertise in robotic and manual welding, process development, equipment reliability, APQP launches, supplier coordination, customer interaction, and collaboration with international engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement projects, improve welding processes, and ensure machine reliability on the plant floor.
• Design, test, debug, and troubleshoot welding processes.
• Coordinate technically with Program Management, Sales and Marketing, customers, Purchasing, vendors, and internal departments.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of robotic welding engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Welding Engineering or a closely related field, preferably a 4-year Weld Engineering Technology degree or an Associates in Metallurgy, Metrology, or Robotics/Robotic Welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

The position is full‑time and based in an on‑site manufacturing environment, where work is performed around manual and robotic welding equipment. Conditions may include noise, cramped workspaces, awkward positions, and exposure to hazardous equipment. Compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures and wearing protective and safety attire is required. Physical activities may involve kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, and using tools or machine controls. Safe handling of heavy objects is necessary, including recognizing when assistance or equipment is required. Some travel to Germany for training in the initial months and occasional overtime may be necessary. Quick response during production issues or operational crises is essential.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
