GTI Fabrication in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a highly experienced Weld Engineer to lead the design, control, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for modular enclosures, containerized systems, and structural weldments.
This role collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle.

GTI Fabrication is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Weld Engineer to lead the design, control, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in a modular fabrication environment. This individual contributor role focuses on developing scalable, efficient production methods for custom enclosures, containerized systems, and structural steel weldments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Lean Manufacturing, and quality systems such as ISO9001.
The Weld Engineer will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure fabrication manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle.
Bachelor’s degree in Weld Engineering.
experience in weld engineering and manufacturing engineering, preferably in modular fabrication, defense, energy, or industrial equipment sectors.
AWS CWI certification that is active. NDE experience a plus
Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and GD&T.
Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Demonstrated success in process development, design for manufacturability, and production scaling.
Hands-on experience with containerization, modular product platforms, and structural weldments.
Knowledge of ISO9001 quality systems and compliance standards.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
