Job summary

Education & Training Resources LLC in Excelsior Springs, MO seeks a Welding CTT Instructor to provide engaging instruction, administer tests, and evaluate student progress in a Career Technical Training setting.

The role requires state certification/licensing, welding experience, and the ability to adapt lessons to diverse learners. AWS certification is preferred; on-the-job training and hands-on activities are included.

Qualifications

• Certified, licensed, or accredited by the State in which the Center is located or by an accredited professional trade organization.
• At least two years of teaching experience that would equip applicant with knowledge, skills and ability to perform the related duties of the position.
• Three years experience as a welder.
• Certification by AWS is desired.

SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:

Provides engaging instruction, administers tests, and evaluates student progress, understanding, and proficiency in assigned field of Career Technical Training.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides students with industry-recognized instruction and training.
• Develops and prepares lessons; recommends curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Administers and corrects tests; logs and maintains progress and attendance.
• Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
• Manages the classroom by moving about the room to tutor, coach, evaluate, and assist each student as the need arises.
• Motivates and counsels students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits.
• Evaluates and supervise students in an on-the-job training experience.
• Participates in providing hands-on activities for students in the career preparation program.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Certified, licensed, or accredited by the State in which the Center is located or by an accredited professional trade organization.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience must meet the state or professional trade organization requirements.
• At least two years of teaching experience that would equip applicant with knowledge, skills and ability to perform the related duties of the position.
• Certification by AWS is desired.
• Three years experience as a welder.

OTHER:

• Must possess valid driver's license.
