Job summary

The Raymond Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Greene, NY site, focusing on welding manufacturing processes. You will design and optimize welding lines, apply DFx, and implement robotic solutions while collaborating across teams to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in industrial manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with welding and automation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Proficient communication with all levels of the organization.
Understanding of Toyota Lean Principles and implementation.
Ability to design layouts and fixtures using SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or Catia.
Hands-on troubleshooting and willingness to work hands-on.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Commitment to lifelong learning and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Define and develop manufacturing line designs aligned with long‑term factory vision, including welding operations.
Apply Design for Manufacturing principles for welding to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
Implement and validate welding processes, including tooling, manual operations, and robotic solutions.
Collaborate with automation and robotic system integrators to drive manufacturing solutions.
Perform make-versus-buy analysis for welding processes and justify business cases.
Improve production processes to maximize resource utilization and safety.
Engage stakeholders to increase productivity and deliver value to customers.
Develop process controls and standardization for best-in-class results.
Support continuous improvement and environmental initiatives within manufacturing.
