Job summary

Obara Corp USA is seeking an engineer to research, design, and develop welding equipment, tooling, and automation solutions for automotive manufacturing. You will lead projects from concept through testing and commercialization, designing mechanical, electrical, and welding systems to enhance performance and manufacturability.

You will develop prototypes, run experiments, analyze results, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges while supporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, welding equipment, automation, or automotive industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of resistance welding, automated assembly systems, or industrial machinery is highly desirable.
  • Experience with CAD software and engineering design principles.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, sensors, controls, and industrial electrical systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
