Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a skilled welder to operate welding equipment across multiple production lines and deliver high-quality weldments. The candidate will adjust machines, read blueprints, and perform welding in various positions while maintaining safety and cleanliness on the floor.

Qualified applicants have completed a welding class or curriculum and must pass the Welder Qualification test with recertification as required.

Qualifications

• Must pass the Welder Qualification test and recertify as required by program guidelines.
• Completed a weld class or welding curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Adjust welding machine settings to proper weld configurations
• Use grinders, needle guns, wire wheels and similar tools for clean welds
• Heat and form metal parts using hand tools or welding equipment
• Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
• Read and measure with various devices accurately
• Assemble and weld metal parts together
• Position material/parts properly for welding
• Train and work across production areas as demand requires
• Follow verbal and written work instructions including reading blueprints
• Maintain safety and 6S standards in a clean work environment
• Work both in teams and independently
• Regular attendance and reliability
• All other duties as assigned
