Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation seeks a skilled welder for our McConnellsburg, PA production team. You will set up welding equipment, read blueprints, and weld components in multiple positions to meet quality standards. The role requires completing a weld class and passing the Welder Qualification test.

Qualifications

• Must pass Welder Qualification test and recertify as required by program guidelines.
• Must have completed a weld class / curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Adjust welding machine settings to proper weld configurations.
• Use grinders, needle guns, wire wheels and similar tools for finishing welds.
• Heat and form metal parts with hand tools, torch or welding equipment.
• Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
• Read measuring devices accurately and interpret blueprints.
• Assemble and weld metal parts as required.
• Position materials to be welded correctly.
• Participate in multi-area production as needed by demand.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions and blueprints.
• Maintain safety, 6S standards, and a clean work environment.
• Work well in both team and individual settings.
• Attend work regularly and fulfill all duties assigned.
