Job summary

Cimarron invites applicants to join the Welding Apprenticeship Program—a 90-day, part-time training opportunity. You will learn core welding processes under experienced welders, gain safety-focused skills, and demonstrate readiness through a final welding qualification test.

Participants attend up to 30 hours weekly, work with a mentor, and refine proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux Cored welding, while adhering to company standards and quality controls.

Qualifications

  • Completed welding program from an accredited school with proof of completion.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to learn, follow directions and receive hands-on coaching.
  • Basic knowledge of welding processes and shop practices.

Responsibilities

  • Attend scheduled shifts (up to 30 hours per week) and stay punctual.
  • Work with a mentor to develop welding skills and practical experience.
  • Assist with material prep, joint fit-up, welding and finishing tasks.
  • Read blueprints and weld symbols with growing independence.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement in technical skills and productivity.
  • Accept feedback professionally and apply it daily.

This program provides hands on experience, structured mentorship, and skill development in a real world shop environment.Apprentices will work closely with experienced welders to build proficiency in core welding processes, strengthen safety awareness, and demonstrate the reliability and professionalism required for long term success.
