Job summary

gpac has partnered with an established welding automation company seeking a Welding Application Engineer in Wisconsin. You will support customers from concept through implementation, optimizing automated welding processes.

Required: Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Welding Engineering, 5+ years in welding automation, hands-on MIG/TIG/resistance/robotic arc welding, and familiarity with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX. CAD and ABB/FANUC robotics experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Welding Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in the welding automation industry.
• Hands-on knowledge of MIG, TIG, resistance, and robotic arc welding.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX.
• ABB or FANUC robotics, offline programming, CAD, and CWI or CWEng certification a plus.
