About the Program

The Welding Adjunct Instructor is housed at the Advanced Manufacturing and Training Center (AMTC) near TSC's main campus. The role focuses on leading the evening welding program, creating a learning environment, maintaining discipline, transferring knowledge, and staying current with industry regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively lead evening welding classes and create an ideal learning environment.
  • Maintain appropriate balance of discipline and student interaction.
  • Transfer knowledge to students and keep abreast of evolving industry regulations.
  • Provide teaching environments (lecture, group, or individual) that target a diverse population to achieve AWS certifications.
  • Educate and train students to gain the skills necessary to succeed as welders and meet established student performance goals.
  • Provide administrative support for course logistics, scheduling and curriculum development.
  • Oversee student support services (advisement, orientation, job placement) for the evening program.
  • Coordinate with Program Manager and Program Specialist to maintain student performance profiles, audit records, attendance records, and grades.
