Job summary

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Certified Welder for our La Porte, TX swing shift. Responsibilities include welding, fitting, inspection, and QC on certified assets. Must meet multiple welding certifications and fit with a safety-first team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma + specialized training or 1 year college.
• 5 - 7 years welding experience; fabrication skills such as cutting, grinding are essential.
• Required Certificates: GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, GTAW welding certifications.

Responsibilities

• Weld materials using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW & GTAW.
• Perform basic fitting and measure components.
• Check materials per MTRs and electrode classifications; gouging and cutting as needed.
• Clean and inspect for defects; perform quality control.
• Follow drawings, blueprints and work orders.

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors is looking for a Certified Welder to join their safety conscious swing shift team! This opportunity is based out of the La Porte, TX area. This team member will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all certified related welding for specialized assets along with maintaining company equipment.

WORK SCHEDULE: MONDAY - FRIDAY 2 PM - 10:30 PM (Must be available to work weekends and OT as needed)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welding materials together using SMAW (shielded metal arc welding), GMAW (gas metal arc welding), FCAW (flux-cored arc welding) & GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding)
• Basic fitting experience/knowledge
• Knowledge of raw materials and understands MTR's and electrode classifications.
• Gouging processes (air carbon arc, plasma arc, oxy-fuel)
• Cutting processes (mechanical and power tools, oxy-fuel plasma arc, air carbon arc, electric arc)
• Cleaning and checking for defects and shape component parts.
• Performing quality control
• Following directions given in drawings, blueprints, and work orders
