Job summary

VIP Staffing in San Antonio, TX is seeking a skilled welder for shop fabrication. You will perform arc flux, MIG and TIG welding on steel, aluminum, copper, and stainless, and read blueprints to fit parts precisely. Factory floor duties include cutting, grinding, and aligning components, with a focus on quality and safety.

Position is located in open-air shops downtown and in Floresville. Pay is up to $25/hr depending on experience and position, with a minimum of 1–2 years welding experience

Qualifications

• Ability to work in open air shops.

Responsibilities

• Arc flux, MIG, TIG welding.
• Steel, aluminum, copper, stainless.
• Read/interpret blueprints.
• Clean, cut, grind and align metal parts.
• Fabrication in shop.
• Test and assess welded surfaces.
• Reading measurements/diagrams, measure, lay out and fit metal components accurately before welding.
• Inspect welds and finished products for accuracy, and perform necessary adjustments/rework.
• Meet production schedules and quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
