Description

Position Summary: The primary responsibility is welding various metal types to create components used in assembling the finished product, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Operate MIG welding machines and other tools safely.
  2. Create quality welds according to blueprints and inspect for accuracy.
  3. Prepare products by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel parts.
  4. Change welding wire and shielding gas tanks as needed.
  5. Follow all safety rules and regulations, ensuring equipment safety and proper use of safety devices.
  6. Operate forklift if certified and required.
  7. Perform inspections before, during, and after welding to meet CDI standards.
  8. Monitor equipment functionality and request maintenance when necessary.
  9. Perform basic maintenance and repairs.
  10. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work schedules.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Attention to detail, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and hand tools.
  • Ability to use measuring tools.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other departments.
  • Pre-employment drug test willingness.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, grip, squat, lift 50 pounds frequently, and 70 pounds occasionally.
  • Combination of trade school and/or 2 years practical experience.
