Eaton’s Fibrebond team in Minden, LA is seeking a Welder Technician III to set up and perform advanced welding and fabrication on ferrous and non‑ferrous metals. The role supports modular product lines, while upholding safety and quality standards.

The position requires High School Diploma or GED, MIG welding certifications, and experience in a manufacturing environment. On-site work with standard 54-hour weekly core hours and an hourly rate of $24.20.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding certifications in basic welding and MIG welding.
• Prior welding experience in manufacturing or industrial environment, including sheet metal fabrication.
• Must pass 1G and 3G X-ray weld tests.
• No relocation benefit; only candidates within 50-mile radius of Minden, LA facility.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to perform advanced welding and fabrication of structural and mechanical components.
• Set up and operate welding equipment to perform MIG welding and other required welding processes across plant operations.
• Perform high-quality welds and fabrication tasks in accordance with blueprint requirements and supervisor direction.
• Grind, finish, inspect, and clean welds to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following safety procedures and 5S initiatives.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or irregularities to leadership.
• Support Eaton’s goals through teamwork and continuous improvement.
