Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Welder Technician role based in Huntsville, AL. The Welder Technician will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and accessories, ensuring safe and efficient performance in support of customer needs and internal projects. Daily responsibilities include performing welding and fabrication tasks, inspecting and troubleshooting welders and related equipment, and completing routine preventive maintenance. The role will also involve assisting with equipment testing, documenting work performed, following safety and quality standards, and collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals. The technician may support equipment preparation for rental, basic repairs, and customer demonstrations or training as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong welding and fabrication skills, including hands‑on experience with various welding processes (\"e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick\").
• Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on welding equipment, generators, and related tools.
• Knowledge of shop safety practices, personal protective equipment, and safe handling of gases and electrical equipment.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude, including reading and understanding equipment manuals and diagrams.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and document completed work clearly.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding or industrial maintenance is preferred.
