Job summary

Environmental Air Systems, LLC is seeking a Welding Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise all welding activities on assigned projects in the Southeast region. You will lead welders, inspect welds, enforce safety procedures, and manage resources to meet specifications and schedules.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of welding experience with strong sheetmetal background, plus relevant AWS/OSHA certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years in welding with strong sheetmetal background.
• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
• Certifications in welding and safety (AWS, OSHA) desirable; OSHA 10 within 5 years required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all welding activities on assigned projects per specs, schedule, and budget.
• Lead and manage a team of welders; provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Monitor weld quality and inspect work to meet industry standards and project specs; implement corrections as needed.
• Enforce safety regulations; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe environment.
• Allocate and manage resources (labor, materials, equipment) for efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, other trades, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, logs, reports, materials usage, and timekeeping.
• Identify and resolve issues or conflicts to maintain project timelines; stay updated on industry trends.

Monitor and inspect welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications, making necessary adjustments and corrections as needed. Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment. Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, other trades, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and address any issues or changes in project scope. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, progress reports, material usage, and timekeeping. Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project, providing practical solutions to maintain project timelines. Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices to continually improve operations and maintain a competitive edge.

Education Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in welding, with a strong background in industrial Sheetmetal. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing is preferred. Relevant certifications in welding and safety (e.g., AWS, OSHA) are highly desirable. OSHA 10 construction certification obtained within the last 5 years is required.
