Job summary

MacLean Power Systems, a Fort Mill, SC-based manufacturer, is seeking an experienced MIG Welder for its Royal Switchgear line in the United States. The role focuses on fabricating, assembling, and welding aluminum and steel enclosures to engineering drawings while ensuring safety and quality.

You will read blueprints, interpret fabrication drawings, set up fixtures, inspect welds, and collaborate with production and quality teams to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience welding sheet metal and enclosure assemblies preferred.
• Knowledge of welding symbols, measurements, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel enclosures and components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings.
• Assemble enclosure parts using fixtures, clamps, and measuring tools.
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
• Grind, clean, and finish welded surfaces as required.
• Operate welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, and fabrication machinery safely.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments.

• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any issues.

Job Summary
