Job summary

EMD Curtiss Wright Electro Mechanical in Cheswick, PA is seeking a Welder to perform metal-joining operations at our Pittsburgh location. You will read drawings, set up welding equipment, and weld to specifications across positions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires handling of various welding processes, surface preparation, and defect inspection. A high school diploma plus a certified welding program is expected, with DoD clearance eligibility a plus and on-site

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances.
• Experience with all welding materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• High school graduate with certified welding program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform metal-joining operations per established procedures.
• Prepare surfaces and position parts for welding per drawings.
• Set up welding equipment and fixtures; follow process specifications.
• Inspect and grind welds, remove slag, and prepare for penetrant testing.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and document welding sequences.
