Job summary

Chesapeake Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Welder to join our fabrication team in Odenton, MD. You will assemble, weld, and fabricate metal components, ensuring quality workmanship and on-schedule production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and other welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal components.
• Measure, cut, fit, and align materials for welding.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and safety compliance.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized workspace.
• Work with fabrication team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Document completed work and report defects or issues to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
