Job summary

Aerotek is seeking experienced pipe welders for a long-term project in Cape Canaveral, Florida. This role involves working on launch mounts and towers, fabricating and maintaining structural, hydraulic, and fluid systems.

Ideal candidates will have significant experience with GTAW (TIG) welding on Schedule 10 stainless steel and carbon steel pipe, and a strong background in industrial or shipyard environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of GTAW (TIG) welding on Schedule 10 stainless or carbon steel pipe.
• Demonstrated 5G and 6G monster coupon welding experience.
• Welding qualifications per AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.6 or ASME Section IX.

Responsibilities

• Weld on launch mounts and towers.
• Fabricate and maintain structural, hydraulic and fluid systems.
• Maintain safe work practices at heights and on complex structures.

Pipe Welders - $125 Per Diem - Up to $40/hr - Cape Canaveral, FL

This role involves working on launch mounts and towers, fabricating and maintaining structural, hydraulic, and fluid systems. Ideal candidates will have significant experience with GTAW (TIG) welding on Schedule 10 stainless steel and carbon steel pipe, and a strong background in industrial or shipyard environments.

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of professional experience in GTAW (TIG) welding with Schedule 10 stainless steel and/or carbon steel pipe
• Demonstrated pipe welding experience, including 5G and 6G monster coupons
• Previous welding qualifications per AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.6, or ASME Section IX
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Ability to cut, trim, fit, and fabricate weldments accurately
• Experience fitting and welding stainless steel and carbon steel piping and structural components
• Capability to meet specific weld test criteria (max 1/4“ gap, 5/32“ reinforcement, 1/32“ undercut)
• Ability to maintain a safe work area, especially at heights or on complex structures
