Job summary

Hutco Inc. is seeking first-class structural welders for long-term work in the Hahnville, LA area with the Harvey, LA branch serving as a base. A test will be conducted on-site to assess capabilities. No TWIC card required.

NO per diem. Night shift with many hours available and overtime after 40 hours. Applicants must be able to enter confined spaces, maneuver loads, and work at heights. A limited benefit plan is offered, with basic medical/vision coverage and short-term disability.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipyards and welding roles.
• Ability to operate all machines and tools essential to welding.
• Safety consciousness for confined spaces and high work areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding in a shipyard environment.
• Follow on-site testing and safety protocols.
• Work night shifts with long hours as required.

Rate of Pay:$23.00 to $27.00, based on experience (Time and a half for overtime after 40 hours)

Description:

Hutco Inc. is seeking first-class structural welders, specifically looking for skilled workers with experience in shipyards. A test will be conducted on-site to assess your capabilities. No TWIC card required. NO per diem available. Long-term work!! LOTS OF HOURS AVAILABLE!! (NIGHT SHIFT)

Requirements:

Enter and work in internally confined spaces.

Manipulate and transport loads of up to 50 pounds over distances of up to 200 feet,

approximately 1 to 6 times during each 8-hour shift.

Manipulate and operate all machines and tools essential to the performance of the position

of a Welder.

Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.

Traverse and negotiate uneven heights between the dock and the vessel.

Traverse and negotiate uneven surfaces.

Maneuver around piping obstructions and web frames.

Ascend and work at heights.

Stooping, squatting, twisting, kneeling, and reaching
