Job summary

FAST Global Solutions is seeking a Welder for our night shift in Falls City, NE. The night shift runs from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Friday as needed. A $2,500 sign-on bonus and a $2.50 hourly night shift differential are offered.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, set up welds, and weld in multiple positions while ensuring quality and safety standards. Other duties include material handling, routine inspections, and use of ERP systems where

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 1–3 months related experience.
• Basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
• Experience with ERP software; Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
• Inspect welds for bead size and specifications; repair broken parts.
• Move parts and finished products through welding area; set up and clamp workpieces.

Welding Full Time Regular Operative Falls City, NE, US

FAST Global Solutions is seeking a Welder for our Night Shift in Falls City, NE. Night Shift differential of $2.50 / hour. Sign-On Bonus of $2,500! Our Falls City night shift runs from 4 pm – 2:30 am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Friday as needed.

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
• Connects cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, as specified by engineer.
• Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld and size of molten puddle.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
• Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixtures.
• Selects torch, torch tip, filler ford and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
• Tacks assemblies together.
• Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
• Cleans or de-greases parts.
• Move parts in and moves finished product out of welding area.

Job Requirements:

• A qualified candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, or at least 1-3 months related experience.
• Must have basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics D365 is preferred.
• Must be able to stand continuously for a 10 hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Vision with depth perception is required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and levels of humidity.
• Personal protective equipment will be provided by FAST and must be worn in the required areas.
