Cleveland West Side Manufacturer in Cleveland, OH is seeking an experienced welder for a full-time position. You will set up and operate gas and stick welding machines, follow blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions to weld metal parts to specified tolerances.

This role requires strong oral and written communication, mechanical aptitude, and good reading and time-management skills. Wages are commensurate with experience, with company-paid benefits and an attendance bonus.

Formación

• Experience with welding in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate gas welding machines to weld metal parts.
• Maintain records of settings from precision control panels.
• Clean parts to remove contamination prior to welding.
• Set up and operate clamps, fixtures and torches to tolerances.
• Set up and operate stick welding machines for repairs and fabrication.
• Follow blueprints to meet specifications and tolerances.
• Report production discrepancies to management.
• Comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

In addition to oral, written and technical communication skills; mechanical aptitude; reading skills; and time management, below are descriptive duties and responsibilities:

• set up and operate gas welding machines to weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts and verbal instructions
• maintain accurate record keeping of settings from precision control panels or power packs for repeat applications
• clean parts to remove contamination prior to welding
• set up and operate all phases using clamps, fixtures and torches working to specific tolerances
• set up and operate stick welding machines to repair, join or fabricate parts working with sketches or verbal orders
• follow blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances
• report production discrepancies to management
• complies with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
• performs other related duties as assigned
