Job summary

General Stamping & Metalworks in Tomah, WI is seeking a skilled welder to operate MIG and TIG welding equipment in a fast-paced factory setting.

You will read prints, adjust weld parameters, inspect parts with calipers and gauges, and ensure safety and quality while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and adjust weld parameters.
• Basic computer and data entry skills (ERP familiarity preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG and/or TIG welding equipment expertly.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Read and interpret prints, tolerances, and weld symbols.
• Make minor welding parameter adjustments for quality.
• Inspect pieces with calipers, pin gauges, and fixtures per print/PIP.
