Carolina Fabrication Services LLC is seeking a Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our team in Chesnee, SC. This position is for both shop work and local field work (You will be home every night)

Position Summary

The Welder / Metal Fabricator will support the production and assembly of metal components by performing welding and fabrication tasks with precision and attention to safety. This role is hands‑on and focused on producing quality work that meets project specifications and customer expectations.

In this position, you will work from drawings and instructions, prepare materials, and complete welds and assemblies while maintaining consistent quality throughout the build process.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks to assemble components according to specifications and workmanship standards.
• Read and interpret job plans, sketches, and instructions to determine appropriate materials, measurements, and welding procedures.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling parts prior to welding.
• Inspect finished work to confirm accuracy, quality, and structural integrity, addressing defects as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace to support safe and efficient production.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of metal fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in Tig, Stick and Mig welding
• A team player who can also work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication, with the ability to produce consistent, high‑quality welds.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, measurements, and fabrication instructions.
• Working knowledge of safe shop practices, including proper tool handling and hazard awareness.
• Ability to stand and lift and work in a physically active shop environment for full shifts.
• Dependability and a strong commitment to producing work that meets established quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience fabricating structural components and interpreting technical welding requirements.
• Familiarity with common fabrication tools and shop equipment used for cutting, fitting, and finishing.
• Experience performing weld inspection or basic quality checks to confirm conformance.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment while maintaining attention to detail.
