Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled industrial welder tech to join our team in Venice, FL. A successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent communication skills, eagerness to move into a higher-level position, and experience in a manufacturing plant. POSITION - Maintenance Tech - Manufacturing Plant

LOCATION - Venice, FL

HOURLY RATE - $22.00 - $28.00

SHIFT - Day Shift - 6:30am to 3pm

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs ordinary hand welding operations.

Maintains mechanical strength and high pressures on diversified assemblies and products.

Plans and lays out welding sequence, referring to drawings, blueprints or specifications.

May lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies using rule, square, scribe or templates. May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, or guides using measuring instruments and hand tools.

Operates welding equipment, regulating current and voltage or gas and wire flow rate for proper penetration and fusion of metals.

Ensures maximum weld strength, avoiding distortion and excessive weld at joints.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one year experience in welding various materials

Measurements and ability to calculate dimensions

REASONING ABILITY

No special reasoning ability

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Certificate in Welding preferred
