Job Title: Welder – Transformer Manufacturing

Department: Metal Fabrication

Work Location: Pine Bluff, AR

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Introduction:

As a Welder at Central Moloney, you execute various fabrication duties, which is crucial in producing pole transformers. Your expertise in metalwork and welding contributes to the construction of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assemble pieces of metal or repair damage in metal components.
2. Execute various fabrication and welding tasks to meet production needs.
3. Read and follow blueprints to ensure precise execution of welding and fabrication requirements.
4. Cut metal into the appropriate shape and size according to specifications.
5. Smooth molten metal to remove creases, ensuring the final product meets quality standards.
6. Weld with various types of metal, including steel and aluminum.
7. Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
8. Produce and maintain accurate records of welding and fabrication activities.
9. Undertake additional duties as assigned, showcasing versatility and commitment to excellence.

Requirements

Additional Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Ability to read and interpret specifications.
3. Ability to read and understand job-related materials and perform basic math.
4. Minimum 2 years previous welding experience (MIG).
5. Follow written instructions and supervisor directions accurately.
6. Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and working conditions.
7. Background check, Drug & Physical Screening required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

1. Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
2. Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
3. Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
4. PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
5. Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
6. Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
7. Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
8. Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
