Welder Overview

Welder Pay Range

• $26-30/hr
• Paid WEEKLY

Welder Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive and understand welding symbols and select proper welding material needed to finish for fitting, painting, and shipping.
• Locate pieces approved by Quality Control for welding and gather equipment necessary to complete the job.
• Clean welded pieces for the next phase of processing.
• Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
• Travel to various locations, potentially including other states, to support shutdowns.
• Work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Perform non-essential functions as needed.

Welder Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years’ welding experience required.
• Ability to read and comprehend welding symbols and instructions.
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings.
• Pass a tape measure test.
• Pass an unlimited thickness groove plate test in the horizontal or vertical and overhead positions using FCAW and SMAW.
• Pass a carbon arc gouge the back side of butt joints to sound metal.
• Pass a hair follicle drug test as a condition of employment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
• Note: The company does not provide employment visa sponsorship.

Welder Physical Demands

• Lift at least 50 pounds frequently.
• Excessive amounts of overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Bending and stooping to weld in difficult positions.
• Tolerate temperature fluctuations and a dusty/noisy work environment.

This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
