Job summary

Lexicon invites a skilled Welder to join our team in West Virginia, contributing to our growing projects with sturdy structural welds. The role offers competitive pay of $26-$30 per hour, with weekly payroll and strong safety emphasis.

You'll operate in a dynamic environment that values integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include interpreting welding symbols, reading drawings, and following QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years welding experience.
• Able to read and understand welding symbols and instructions.
• Able to read and understand structural drawings.
• Able to pass a tape measure test.
• Able to pass FCAW/SMAW thickness groove plate tests.
• Capable of carbon arc gouging butt joints to sound metal.
• Must pass a hair follicle drug test as a condition of employment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Receive and understand welding symbols and select proper welding material needed to finish for fitting, painting, and shipping.
• Locate pieces approved by Quality Control for welding; gather equipment necessary to complete the job.
• Clean welded pieces for the next phase of processing.
• Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
• Travel to various locations, potentially including other states, to support shutdowns.
• Work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Perform non-essential functions as needed.

Welder Pay Range

• $26-$30/hr
• Paid WEEKLY

Welder Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Receive and understand welding symbols and select proper welding material needed to finish for fitting, painting, and shipping.
• Locate pieces approved by Quality Control for welding. Gather equipment necessary to complete the job.

• Responsible for adhering to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to travel to various locations, potentially including other states, to support shutdowns.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
• Perform non-essential functions as needed.

Welder Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years’ welding experience required.
• Must be able to read and comprehend welding symbols and instructions.
• Must be able to read and understand structural drawings.
• Must be able to pass a tape measure test.
• Must have ability to pass an unlimited thickness groove plate test in the horizontal or vertical and overhead positions using FCAW and SMAW.
• Must be able to carbon arc gouge the back side of butt joints to sound metal.
• Candidates must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test as a condition of employment.
• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for our company without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
• Note: The company does not provide employment visa sponsorship

Welder Physical Demands

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds frequently.
• Considerable amounts of overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Excessive amounts of bending and stooping to weld in difficult positions.
• Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, and a dusty/noisy work environment.

This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
