Job summary

Lexicon is seeking a Welder to join our team in Indiana, offering a competitive pay range of $23-$26 per hour and weekly pay. You will weld and assemble components, following welding symbols and safety protocols to help build critical structural projects.

This role requires at least 1–2 years of welding experience, the ability to read drawings and symbols, and a commitment to safety. Lexicon provides strong benefits and ongoing training to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years’ welding experience.
• Must be able to read and comprehend welding symbols and instructions.
• Must be able to read and understand structural drawings.
• Must be able to pass a tape measure test.
• Must have ability to pass an unlimited thickness groove plate test in SMAW positions.
• Must be able to carbon arc gouge the back side of butt joints to sound metal.
• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Receive and understand welding symbols and select proper welding material needed to finish for fitting, painting, and shipping.
• Locate pieces approved by Quality Control for welding. Gather equipment necessary to complete the job.
• Clean welded pieces for the next phase of processing.
• Responsible for adhering to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to travel to various locations, potentially including other states, to support shutdowns.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
• Perform non-essential functions as needed.

Welder Pay Range

• $23-$26/hr
• Paid WEEKLY

Welder Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Welder Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years’ welding experience required.
• Must be able to read and comprehend welding symbols and instructions.
• Must be able to read and understand structural drawings.
• Must be able to pass a tape measure test.
• Must have ability to pass an unlimited thickness groove plate test in the horizontal or vertical and overhead positions using SMAW.
• Must be able to carbon arc gouge the back side of butt joints to sound metal.
• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for our company without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. Note: The company does not provide employment visa sponsorship.

Welder Physical Demands

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds frequently.
• Considerable amounts of overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Excessive amounts of bending and stooping to weld in difficult positions.
• Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, and a dusty/noisy work environment.

This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
