Business Profile:

PCC Aerostructures supplies complex components and assemblies to the global aerospace industry, with over 35 plants across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, employing more than 5,000 people. Our locations include Washington, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Ohio, Canada, Mexico, the UK, and China.

Position Summary:

The Production TIG Welder works with minimal supervision to weld assemblies of varying complexity and materials, including stainless steel and aluminum. Proficiency in T-joints, butt-joints, and corner welds is required. The role involves reading blueprints to fabricate items of intermediate to advanced complexity from various materials and thicknesses, both in and out of position. Certification is required for welds up to 0.35 inches and down to 0.250 inches, adhering to internal weld specifications.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Weld assemblies of all levels of complexity.
2. Perform intermediate to advanced TIG welding operations, including T-joints, butt joints, and corner welds.

Required Skills:

• Ability to TIG weld assemblies of all complexities, including stainless steel and aluminum, across various materials and thicknesses, both in and out of position.
• Proficiency in T-joints, butt-joints, and corner welds.
• Ability to assess weld quality by recognizing oxidation colors (red, blue, green).
• Ability to pass internal D17.1 weld specifications.
• Capability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Required Experience:

• Typically 2-5 years of TIG welding experience in an aerospace setting.
• Knowledge of D17.1 weld specifications.

Level of Education:

• GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Pay range: $25.50 to $38.25 USD hourly, based on various factors. The role is eligible for the Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid at 1X the bonus multiple, based on company performance. Benefits include 104 hours of paid time off annually, 10 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
