Position Summary:

The production TIG Welder will work with minimal supervision to weld assemblies of all levels of complexity and materials, including stainless steel and aluminum. They are proficient in weld operations such as T-joints, Butt-joints, and corner welds. They will demonstrate the ability to read blueprints to weld and fabricate intermediate to advanced complexity items on various material types and thicknesses in and out of position. Welders are certified 0.35 up to 0.250 thicknesses and to internal weld specifications.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Weld assemblies of all levels of complexity
  • Intermediate to advance TIG welding operations, i.e., T-joints, Butt joints, and corner welds.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to TIG weld assemblies of all levels of complexity, including stainless steel and aluminum, across various material types and thicknesses, both in and out of position.
  • Intermediate to Advance TIG welding operations, i.e., T-joints, Butt- Joints, and corner welds
  • Ability to accurately assess weld quality by distinguishing oxidation colors in welds (such as red, blue, and green).*
  • Ability to pass internal D17.1 weld specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs.

Required Experience:

  • Typically, 2-5 years of TIG welding in an Aerospace setting
  • Working knowledge for D17.1 weld specifications

Level of Education:

  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
