FreightCar America is seeking a skilled welder with inventory control experience to join our manufacturing team in a warehouse environment. You will weld per drawings, manage shipping/receiving, and help maintain quality and inventory accuracy in a fast-paced plant.
The role requires ability to operate cranes and hoists, interpret blueprints, and finalize orders with proper paperwork. Prior railcar or metal fabrication experience is preferred; safety and teamwork are essential.

Handle standard/non-standard railcar/non-railcar parts and components. Ship and receive material within a warehouse environment, in addition to the maintenance of inventory and quality functions. All functions must be completed with minimal supervision.

This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals as well as the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as the ability to apply concepts and proportions to practical situations is required. This position also requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists as well as the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to weather, noise, and welding smoke.
