Job summary

Rite-Hite is seeking a Welder II to lay out, fit, and weld metal components for door products and assemblies. You will read blueprints, select welding methods (arc, MIG, TIG, and gas), and ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

This role supports continuous improvement, keeps work areas safe, and may fill in for other division roles. An associate degree or 6+ months of related experience is expected, with forklift operation preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or six months to one year related experience.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, arc, and spot welding; torch and plasma equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to operate forklifts and material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints to plan and weld to engineering specifications.
• Set up equipment and welding techniques (arc, MIG, TIG, and gas).
• Cut, fit, bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts for assemblies.
• Operate punches, plasma cutters, torches, forklifts, hoists, and cranes as required.
• Repair and assemble metal parts; fabricate non-production items.
• Troubleshoot welding and mechanical issues across models.
• Maintain inventory and help with work orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
