Job summary

Smeal, a REV Group brand, is seeking a Welder/Fabricator I in Snyder, NE to join our manufacturing team. You will weld ladder components and related parts, read blueprints, and set up fixtures according to shop orders while maintaining safety standards.

Daily tasks include operating plasma cutters and grinders, reading weld symbols, and ensuring quality workmanship. Overtime may be required; strong safety mindset and ability to work in a noisy environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must pass a welding test (flat & vertical) for aluminum and steel.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to read blueprints and work from shop orders.
• Able to work in a noisy environment and in various positions.
• Willing to be cross-trained in departments.
• Commitment to safety and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform metal arc welding of ladder components and related parts.
• Set up fixtures and read blueprints.
• Operate plasma cutter, torch, grinders; use cranes.
• Read weld symbols and ensure quality welds.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the welding shop.
• Identify parts and restock as needed.
