Job summary

GEA Group in York, PA is seeking a Welder II to join our Production Team. This position welds and assembles custom packages, heat exchangers and standard vessels and compressors to spec.

Candidates should have 3+ years of welding experience, 6G pipe welding ability, basic math and blueprint reading. The role offers competitive hourly pay and growth we well as training opportunities. This is an on-site US-based position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
• Certified Vocational Degrees Preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 3+ years’ experience in lieu of vocational degree/certificate in structural / pipe welding
• Pipe welding (Ability to qualify in a 6G test for Mig, Pulse and Tig)
• Basic math skills
• Basic blueprint reading
• Basic fabrication skills
• Comprehension of safety rules
• Sit, stand, reach, walk for periods of time on concrete surface.
• Ability to lift / carry 50 lbs.
• Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and or machinery.

Responsibilities

• Performs all operations in the manufacture of custom packages, heat exchangers and vessels to required specifications and budgets.
• Assembles and welds sub assembly parts
• Welds internal and external parts
• Assembles and welds water boxes
• Sub arc tube sheets
• Welds tube to tube sheet
• Installs package components
• Assembles weld and installs system piping
• Assist in training less experienced employees
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs all operations in the manufacture of standard separators, receivers, and heat exchangers to required specifications and budgets
• Assembles, welds, and installs sub assembly parts
• Welds internal and external parts
• Installs heads and sub arc
• Sub arc wrappers
• Assembles and welds supports, legs and angles
• Assembles and welds water boxes
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs all operations in the manufacture of standard compressor packages to required specifications and budgets.
• Assembles and welds sub assembly parts
• Installs package components
• Assembles weld and installs system piping
• Assist in training less experienced employees
• Performs other duties as assigned
