Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Welder II for the Operations department. The role involves welding components in various positions, reading blueprints and work orders, and maintaining a clean, safe work area on the 3rd shift at our facility.

You will lay out and assemble parts, inspect pieces, and operate shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment with emphasis on quality and safety. The team culture emphasizes collaboration, adaptability, and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts using straight edges, squares, calipers and rulers.
• Examine parts for defects and measure with edges or templates to ensure specs.
• Operate welding tools (SMAW, GMAW) safely.
• Adapt to rapidly changing situations.
• Identify maintenance needs on equipment and tooling.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Use proper safety equipment for each operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
