L.B. Foster Company in Hillsboro, TX is seeking a Welder to cut, join mild or stainless steel and other materials for assembly of structures. You will operate welding equipment and prepare surfaces, reading drawings and maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

Responsibilities include selecting appropriate welding methods, setting up components, performing pre-operation inspections, and adhering to 5S standards. Candidates typically have a HS diploma and demonstrated welding experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Related degree from a technical college is a plus.
• 1 year of proven welding experience in a manufacturing environment or internship while attending technical college.

Responsabilités

• Participate in all safe start meetings.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and rules.
• Follow 5S standards to maintain the work area.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications.
• Set up and align components for welding according to specifications.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare surfaces for welding.
• Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report issues.
