Job summary

Progress Rail is seeking a welder in Cleveland, OH to operate hand-welding and flame-cutting equipment, fabricating and joining parts per specifications.

The role requires 1 year of experience or a high school diploma, with preferred certification and broad welding method knowledge. You will read blueprints, use measuring tools, and follow ISO/AAR guidelines while maintaining proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 1 year experience or no previous welding experience accepted.
• Preferred: Certified Welder and knowledge of MIG, MMA, Stick, TIG welding.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints/d drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand-welding and flame-cutting equipment to weld or join components.
• Prepare parts by cutting and setting up for welding according to specs.
• Interpret welding blueprints, assembly instructions, and BOMs.
• Maintain welding proficiency per QSP 4.9 and applicable standards.
• Use measuring devices to record inspection data.
