Job Overview

The PCX Welder I

All work adheres to engineering and quality specifications and is performed according to PCX safety standards.

A Day In The Life
  • Must follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements
  • Fabricates and repairs metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices.
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process with assistance from supervision.
  • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
  • Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment.
  • May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty.
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • High School diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Able to lift 35# consistently.
  • Ability to work 10 hours or more per day and weekends as required.
  • Requires 1-4 years of related experience or may have 0 years of experience plus an associate degree, additional training, or certification.
